Parasitic Infections

Parasitic infections occur when tiny organisms, called parasites, invade a person's body and derive nutrients at the host's expense. These parasites can be single-celled organisms, like amoeba, or larger ones, like worms. They often multiply inside the body and can cause various health issues, ranging from mild symptoms to severe disease. Common examples include malaria, caused by a mosquito-borne parasite, and intestinal worms from contaminated food or water. Prevention focuses on maintaining clean living conditions, practicing good hygiene, and using protective measures, like insect repellent, to reduce exposure to these harmful organisms.
