Paragliding
Paragliding is an aerial sport where a pilot flies a lightweight, free-flying glider called a paraglider. It consists of a fabric wing and a harness for the pilot. Launching typically occurs from elevated locations, allowing the pilot to glide with the wind and currents in the air. Paragliders can gain altitude by utilizing thermal lifts (rising columns of warm air) and can travel for considerable distances. The experience combines elements of adventure, nature, and skill, providing the thrill of flying while being relatively accessible compared to other forms of aviation. Safety gear is vital, as is understanding weather conditions.
