Ozone

Ozone is a molecule made up of three oxygen atoms. It exists naturally in the Earth's atmosphere in two main layers: the ozone layer, which is high above the surface and protects us from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun, and ground-level ozone, which is a harmful air pollutant formed when pollutants from cars and industry react in the presence of sunlight. While the ozone layer is vital for life on Earth, ground-level ozone can cause health problems like respiratory issues and environmental damage. Thus, ozone plays a crucial role both beneficially and harmfully depending on its location.
