Panmunjom
Panmunjom is a small village located in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea, serving as the site of ongoing peace talks and negotiations. It functions as a symbol of the fragile peace and boundary between the two nations, which are technically still at war since the Korean War ended with an armistice in 1953. The area includes a border crossing point where officials meet, and the Joint Security Area (JSA), where military personnel from both sides stand face-to-face. Panmunjom represents hope for diplomacy and potential reunification efforts on the Korean Peninsula.
