Paleolithic Europe
Paleolithic Europe refers to the early period of human history, approximately 2.6 million to around 10,000 years ago. During this time, early humans, known as hunter-gatherers, relied on hunting animals and foraging for plants for survival. They lived in small, nomadic groups and created stone tools. Cave art and sculptures from this era suggest they had complex social structures and spiritual beliefs. The end of the Paleolithic marked the transition to the Neolithic period, characterized by the development of agriculture and permanent settlements, significantly changing human lifestyle and society.
