Paired Kidney Exchange

Paired Kidney Exchange is a process that helps patients needing kidney transplants who have living donors, but are not a compatible match. In this system, two or more pairs of patients and their donors are matched. For example, if Patient A's donor is incompatible with Patient A, but can donate to Patient B instead, and Patient B’s donor can donate to Patient A, they swap kidneys. This way, both patients receive compatible transplants, increasing the chances of successful surgeries and better outcomes while effectively utilizing available donor kidneys.
