Osmani Script

The Osmani Script is a writing system used primarily for the Ottoman Turkish language, particularly during the period of the Ottoman Empire. It is a form of the Arabic script adapted to represent Turkish sounds. Developed in the 13th century and named after Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman dynasty, this script includes unique characters to accommodate Turkish phonetics. The Osmani Script was widely used for literature, government documents, and religious texts until the 20th century, when Turkey adopted the Latin alphabet. Today, it holds historical significance and is studied for its cultural and linguistic importance.
