Organs and Tissues

Organs are specialized structures in the body that perform specific functions, such as the heart pumping blood or the lungs facilitating breathing. They are made up of tissues, which are groups of similar cells that work together to carry out particular tasks. For example, muscle tissue helps in movement, while nerve tissue transmits signals. Several different tissues combine to form each organ, allowing it to function effectively. Together, organs and tissues make up the complex systems that sustain life, such as the digestive system, respiratory system, and circulatory system.
