Operation Sea Ghost
Operation Sea Ghost was a covert U.S. military operation during the Vietnam War, conducted in the late 1960s. Its primary goal was to interdict North Vietnamese naval activities, including supply routes and troop movements along the coast and in rivers. U.S. Navy special forces, particularly the Navy SEALs, were involved in sabotage missions targeting enemy vessels and infrastructure. The operation aimed to disrupt North Vietnam's logistics and support for its forces in South Vietnam, thereby contributing to the broader military strategy in the region. It exemplified the use of unconventional warfare tactics during the conflict.
