Operation Bold Alligator

Operation Bold Alligator was a large-scale military exercise conducted by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps in early 2012. It involved more than 15,000 troops and aimed to enhance amphibious assault capabilities, allowing forces to practice landing operations from the sea onto land. The exercise took place primarily in Virginia and helped improve coordination among different branches of the military. By simulating realistic scenarios, it prepared U.S. forces to respond to future conflicts and ensured they were ready for complex maritime operations involving joint forces from allied nations.
