On Subjectivity

Subjectivity refers to how personal feelings, opinions, and experiences shape our understanding of the world. Unlike objectivity, which relies on facts and data that are universally accepted, subjectivity acknowledges that different people can interpret the same situation in diverse ways based on their backgrounds, beliefs, and emotions. For example, one person might find a painting beautiful while another sees it as unappealing. Recognizing subjectivity is important in discussions, as it helps us appreciate differing perspectives and fosters empathy, even when we disagree.
