Olympic wrestling
Olympic wrestling is a competitive sport featured in the Summer Olympics, consisting of two main styles: freestyle and Greco-Roman. In both styles, athletes compete to gain control over their opponents using techniques such as takedowns, holds, and throws. Freestyle allows attacks on any part of the body, while Greco-Roman restricts holds to the upper body. Wrestlers score points by executing successful maneuvers and can also win by pinning their opponent’s shoulders to the mat. The sport emphasizes strength, technique, and strategy, showcasing the athletes' physical prowess and mental focus on the global stage.
