Olympic Committee

The Olympic Committee, primarily the International Olympic Committee (IOC), is the governing body that oversees the organization of the Olympic Games. Founded in 1894, it coordinates the participation of nations, sets rules for the Games, and ensures that the Olympics promote values such as excellence, friendship, and respect. Each participating country has its own National Olympic Committee (NOC) responsible for selecting athletes and sending teams to the Games. The IOC is also involved in promoting sports worldwide and works to maintain the integrity and spirit of the Olympic movement.
