Office for Fair Access (OFFA)
The Office for Fair Access (OFFA) was an organization in England that aimed to promote and ensure fair access to higher education for students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from disadvantaged or underrepresented groups. It worked with universities and colleges to develop strategies that would help increase participation among these students. OFFA reviewed and approved access agreements that institutions created to outline their commitments to improving access and support services. Although it was merged into the Office for Students in 2018, its principles of promoting fairness in education access continue to influence policies.
