Odds Ratio

An odds ratio is a statistical measure that compares the likelihood of an event occurring between two groups. It tells us how much more (or less) likely it is for one group to experience the event compared to another. For example, if the odds ratio is 2, it means one group is twice as likely to experience the event than the other group. An odds ratio of 1 indicates no difference between the groups, while an odds ratio less than 1 suggests that the first group is less likely to experience the event. It's commonly used in research to assess risks and outcomes.
