Ocean Cleanup
Ocean Cleanup is an innovative environmental project aimed at removing plastic waste from the oceans, particularly the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Founded by Boyan Slat in 2013, it uses specially designed floating barriers to capture plastic debris as ocean currents push it into designated collection areas. The collected materials are then sorted and recycled. The initiative not only addresses pollution but also raises awareness about ocean conservation. By harnessing natural oceanic forces, Ocean Cleanup strives to restore marine ecosystems and promote a cleaner and healthier ocean for future generations.
