Occupational Justice

Occupational Justice refers to the idea that everyone should have equal access to opportunities to participate in meaningful activities, or "occupations," that enrich their lives. This concept emphasizes the importance of work, leisure, and community activities for individual well-being. When people face barriers—such as discrimination, socioeconomic challenges, or lack of resources—that prevent them from engaging in these activities, it is seen as a violation of their occupational rights. Promoting occupational justice involves creating supportive environments that enable all individuals to thrive through participation in diverse and fulfilling roles.
