NYHA Classification
The NYHA Classification, or New York Heart Association classification, is a system used to assess the severity of heart failure in patients. It has four stages: 1. Class I: No limitations; ordinary activities do not cause symptoms. 2. Class II: Mild limitations; comfortable at rest but may experience symptoms during physical activity. 3. Class III: Marked limitations; comfortable only at rest; symptoms appear with minimal exertion. 4. Class IV: Severe limitations; symptoms present even at rest. This classification helps doctors determine the severity of heart failure and guide treatment decisions.
