Nuclear Suppliers Group

The Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) is an international organization founded in 1974 to control the export and transfer of nuclear materials, technology, and equipment. Its goal is to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons by setting guidelines that member countries follow when trading nuclear-related items. By doing so, the NSG promotes peaceful use of nuclear energy and helps ensure that nuclear technology isn't misused for developing weapons. Membership is voluntary, and countries agree to implement these rules, fostering international cooperation and security in nuclear materials management.
