Novocain

Novocain is a brand name for procaine, a local anesthetic commonly used by dentists to numb areas during procedures. It works by blocking nerves in the targeted area, preventing the sensation of pain. Though it was once widely used, Novocain has largely been replaced by newer anesthetics that are more effective and have fewer side effects. Despite this, the term "Novocain" is still commonly used to refer to all types of dental numbing agents.
