Procaine

Procaine is a local anesthetic used by healthcare providers to temporarily numb a specific area of the body during procedures like dental work or minor surgeries. It works by blocking nerve signals responsible for pain, preventing discomfort while the procedure is performed. Procaine is typically injected directly into the tissues around the area needing anesthesia. It acts quickly, providing effective pain relief, but its effects are temporary. Although it was once common, it has largely been replaced by newer anesthetics with longer-lasting effects and fewer side effects.
