Norbertines

Norbertines, also known as the Order of Premontre, are a Roman Catholic religious community founded in the 12th century by St. Norbert of Xanten. Members, including both priests and brothers, live a communal life centered around prayer, work, and the Eucharist. They follow a rule similar to that of the Benedictines but emphasize apostolic work, such as education and pastoral care. Norbertines often serve in parishes and operate schools and missions. Their distinctive white habits and the motto "Pax" (Peace) reflect their commitment to harmony and community life in service to God and others.
