NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command)
NORAD, or North American Aerospace Defense Command, is a joint military organization of Canada and the United States responsible for monitoring and defending North American airspace. Established during the Cold War, its primary mission is to detect and respond to potential aerial threats, including missiles and aircraft. NORAD operates advanced radar systems and satellites to track air traffic and coordinate defense efforts. In addition to military duties, it also plays a role in civil aviation safety, contributing to the overall security of North American airspace against any unauthorized incursions.
