Noor Jahan (Empress)

Noor Jahan, born in 1577, was the wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir and one of the most influential women in Indian history. She was known for her intelligence, political acumen, and artistic patronage, effectively ruling alongside her husband and influencing court decisions. Noor Jahan played a key role in culture, introducing various artistic styles and architectural designs, including notable projects like the Jahangiri Mahal. Her legacy also includes being a powerful symbol of women's agency during the Mughal era, highlighting the significant role women could play in governance and society at that time. She died in 1645.
