Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is one of the thirteen federal appellate courts in the United States. It handles appeals from district courts in nine Western states and territories, including California, Arizona, and Alaska. When a party disagrees with a decision made in a lower court, they can appeal to the Ninth Circuit, which reviews the case for legal errors or procedural issues. The court does not conduct new trials; instead, it examines written records and hears arguments to determine if the lower court's decision should be upheld, reversed, or modified.
