Nimitz-class

The Nimitz-class is a group of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers used by the United States Navy. Designed to project power and support military operations, these massive ships can carry about 90 aircraft, including fighter jets and helicopters. They are named after Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, a key figure in World War II. Each carrier is about 1,100 feet long—longer than the Titanic—and features advanced technology for navigation, communication, and defense. The Nimitz-class plays a crucial role in maritime security and allows for rapid response to global crises.
