Neurophenomenology

Neurophenomenology is an interdisciplinary approach that combines neuroscience with phenomenology, the study of conscious experience. It aims to address the "Hard Problem of Consciousness," which questions how subjective experiences arise from physical brain processes. By integrating insights from both fields, neurophenomenology seeks to explore how our lived experiences (like emotions and perceptions) relate to neural activities in the brain. This perspective highlights the importance of understanding consciousness not only through brain mechanisms but also through first-person experiences, thereby creating a more holistic understanding of what it means to be conscious.
