Necessary truth

Necessary truth refers to statements or propositions that must be true in all possible circumstances, regardless of any external factors or conditions. For example, the statement "All bachelors are unmarried" is necessarily true because, by definition, a bachelor is an unmarried man. Necessary truths are often linked to logic and mathematics, where certain truths hold universally, such as "2 + 2 = 4." In contrast, contingent truths can be true in some scenarios but not others, like "It is raining today," which can change based on the day and location.
