National Institution for Transforming India

The National Institution for Transforming India, commonly known as NITI Aayog, is a policy think tank of the Government of India. Established in 2015, it aims to foster cooperative federalism and promote sustainable development across the country. Unlike its predecessor, the Planning Commission, NITI Aayog focuses on strategic planning and brings together various stakeholders, including states, to address national challenges. It also provides guidance and support for implementing initiatives that improve the economy and welfare of citizens, emphasizing data-driven policymaking and innovative solutions to social issues.
