National Black Nurses Association
The National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) is a professional organization founded in 1971 to address the unique challenges faced by Black nurses and to advocate for better healthcare for Black communities. It provides networking opportunities, education, and resources to support the professional development of Black nurses. The NBNA also aims to influence healthcare policies and promote diversity within the nursing profession. By fostering leadership and advocacy, the organization seeks to improve health outcomes for underrepresented populations and to ensure that Black nurses have a voice in the healthcare system.
