National Alternative Certification Consortium

The National Alternative Certification Consortium (NACC) is a collaborative group focused on providing pathways for individuals to become certified teachers through alternative routes. Many of its members are universities and education organizations that offer innovative programs for those who hold a bachelor's degree but did not follow the traditional teacher education route. NACC promotes high-quality teacher preparation and supports new educators in developing effective teaching skills, ultimately aiming to address teacher shortages and improve educational outcomes in diverse communities.
