National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO)

The National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO) was a Canadian organization focused on improving the health and well-being of Indigenous peoples. Established in 2000, it aimed to provide research, resources, and support to health professionals and communities. NAHO worked to promote traditional healing practices, enhance health services, and advocate for Indigenous rights in health care. Although it ceased operations in 2012, its legacy continues through ongoing initiatives that emphasize the importance of Indigenous perspectives in health, addressing issues like cultural safety and access to care for Aboriginal communities across Canada.
