National Aboriginal Health Organization

The National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO) was a non-profit organization in Canada dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Indigenous peoples. Established in 2000, its focus was on addressing health disparities through research, policy development, and promoting traditional healing practices. NAHO collaborated with Indigenous communities, health professionals, and government bodies to create resources and programs that respected Indigenous culture and knowledge. Although it was dissolved in 2012, its legacy continues to influence Indigenous health initiatives by emphasizing the need for culturally relevant approaches to health care and the importance of community involvement in health solutions.
