Naim Süleymanoğlu was a legendary Turkish weightlifter renowned for his extraordinary strength and technique. Born in Bulgaria, he defected to Turkey in the 1980s, where he became a national hero. He competed in the Olympics and set multiple world records, dominating the sport during his career. Known as "The Pocket Hercules" because of his small stature and exceptional power, Süleymanoğlu earned three Olympic gold medals and is celebrated as one of the greatest weightlifters of all time. His achievements significantly elevated Turkey’s presence in international sports.
