Mycenaean Greece
Mycenaean Greece (circa 1600-1100 BCE) was a late Bronze Age civilization known for its advanced culture, impressive architecture, and influential trade networks. Centered on the mainland, particularly in cities like Mycenae, Tiryns, and Pylos, the Mycenaeans built monumental palaces and practiced sophisticated administration. They are recognized for their warrior society, intricate pottery, and Linear B script, which is among the earliest forms of Greek writing. Their civilization declined around 1100 BCE, possibly due to invasions, internal strife, or natural disasters, leading to the subsequent Dark Ages in Greece.
