Muscle

Muscle is soft tissue in the body composed of specialized cells that can contract and produce movement. There are three main types: skeletal muscles, which control voluntary movements like walking; smooth muscles, found in organs like the stomach and blood vessels, managing involuntary actions; and cardiac muscle, which makes up the heart and pumps blood. Muscles work by contracting and relaxing, often in response to signals from the nervous system. They require energy from food and oxygen to function properly. Overall, muscles are essential for movement, stability, and supporting various bodily functions.
