Murray's Law

Murray's Law describes how blood vessels in the body branch to optimize blood flow while minimizing the energy required. It states that the diameter of a parent vessel should equal the sum of the diameters of its two daughter branches raised to the power of three halves. This principle helps ensure that the blood reaches all tissues efficiently, balancing between having enough vessel surface area to transport blood and minimizing resistance. Essentially, it shows how nature designs vascular systems to be both effective and resource-efficient.
