Monument to the Third International

The Monument to the Third International, also known as the Lenin Monument, was an ambitious architectural project designed by Russian artist and architect Vladimir Tatlin in 1919. Intended to symbolize the ideals of the Bolshevik Revolution, it was envisioned as a massive, spiraling structure made of steel and glass, reaching about 400 meters high. The monument aimed to serve as a center for the Communist International (Comintern) and represent a new era of socialist unity. Although it was never built due to technical, financial, and political challenges, it remains an iconic symbol of modernist design and revolutionary ambition.
