Monohull
A monohull is a type of boat that has a single, main hull, or body, which provides buoyancy and stability. Unlike multihull boats, such as catamarans with two hulls, a monohull's single hull typically requires a keel—an underwater fin—to help balance the boat and prevent it from capsizing. Monohulls are common in sailing and motorboats because they generally handle well, especially in varying wind and sea conditions. They tend to be more traditional, easier to maneuver, and often offer a smoother ride compared to multihulls.
