Mission Concepción
Mission Concepción is one of the oldest Catholic missions in Texas, established in 1731 by Spanish missionaries. Located near San Antonio, it was part of a network aimed at evangelizing Native Americans and spreading Spanish influence. The mission is notable for its well-preserved architecture, including a beautiful stone church that showcases Spanish Colonial style. Today, Mission Concepción is part of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, recognized for its cultural and historical significance, as it reflects the early colonial efforts to establish religious and community life in the region.
