Miracle of Dunkirk

The Miracle of Dunkirk refers to the evacuation of Allied soldiers from Dunkirk, France, during World War II in May and June 1940. Trapped by German forces, over 400,000 British and Allied troops faced capture. In a remarkable operation known as Operation Dynamo, a fleet of naval ships and civilian boats bravely crossed the English Channel to rescue the soldiers. Despite heavy bombing and challenging conditions, around 338,000 troops were successfully evacuated. This event boosted Allied morale, showcased resilience, and provided a crucial opportunity for Britain to regroup and continue fighting against Nazi Germany.
