Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is a condition where a person experiences noticeable problems with memory, thinking, or reasoning that are greater than expected for their age, but not severe enough to interfere significantly with daily life. People with MCI may struggle to remember recent conversations, appointments, or make decisions, yet they can usually still function independently. MCI can be a transitional stage between normal aging and more serious conditions like dementia, and monitoring and assessment by healthcare professionals are important to manage symptoms and determine any necessary follow-up.
