Meta-cognition

Metacognition is the awareness and understanding of your own thinking processes. It involves being able to reflect on how you learn, solve problems, or make decisions, and then using that insight to improve future thinking. Essentially, it's "thinking about thinking"—monitoring your strategies, recognizing what works or doesn’t, and adjusting accordingly. This skill helps you become a more effective learner and problem-solver by enabling you to plan, evaluate, and regulate your cognitive activities consciously.
