Mehmed Ali Pasha

Mehmed Ali Pasha was a prominent Ottoman Albanian military leader and ruler in the early 19th century. He effectively governed Egypt from 1805 to 1848, transforming it into a semi-independent state. Known as the founder of modern Egypt, he introduced military and economic reforms, modernized agriculture, and promoted industry. His efforts expanded Egypt’s influence and laid foundations for its future development.
