Medical Ultrasound

Medical ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. During the procedure, a device called a transducer sends sound waves into the body, which bounce back to create echoes. These echoes are then converted into images that can help doctors visualize organs, tissues, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis of various conditions. Ultrasound is commonly used during pregnancy to monitor fetal development, but it’s also useful for examining organs like the heart, liver, and kidneys, as it is safe, non-invasive, and does not involve radiation.
