Marek Edelman

Marek Edelman was a Polish-Jewish physician and a key figure in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising during World War II. He was born in 1919 and became a prominent leader among Jewish resistance fighters against Nazi oppression. After surviving the war, he dedicated his life to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and advocating for social justice and human rights. Edelman also worked as a cardiologist and remained an outspoken critic of anti-Semitism and totalitarian regimes. He passed away in 2009, leaving a legacy of courage and commitment to human dignity.
