Malcolm X (Malcolm Little)
Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little in 1925, was an influential African American leader and civil rights activist known for advocating for Black empowerment and social justice. Initially associated with the Nation of Islam, he promoted the idea of self-defense against racism. His speeches emphasized pride in Black identity and challenged systemic oppression. After a pilgrimage to Mecca, his views evolved to embrace a more inclusive vision of unity among all races. Tragically assassinated in 1965, Malcolm X remains a powerful symbol of the struggle for civil rights and equality in America and continues to inspire movements for justice today.
