Madeleine Albright was an American diplomat and the first female Secretary of State, serving under President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001. After her government career, she continued to influence global affairs as an author, professor, and public speaker. Her life story, as a child of Czech immigrants who fled Nazi occupation, also highlighted her commitment to international cooperation and peace. She passed away in March 2022.
