Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) are organizations in the UK that coordinate efforts to protect children from abuse and neglect. Comprising various professionals, including social workers, police, and health services, LSCBs work together to ensure that agencies share information and collaborate effectively. They assess local safeguarding processes and provide guidance and training to improve the protection of children. LSCBs also review cases of serious harm or death to determine if lessons can be learned to prevent future incidents. Their main goal is to create a safer environment for all children in the community.
