LHCb Experiment

The LHCb (Large Hadron Collider beauty) experiment is a particle physics project located at CERN, the European organization for nuclear research. It focuses on studying particles containing "beauty" or "bottom" quarks, which are fundamental components of matter. By smashing protons together at high energies, LHCb investigates the differences between matter and antimatter, helping scientists understand why our universe contains more matter. Observing rare particle decays and interactions, the experiment aims to uncover new physics beyond the standard model, which describes how particles and forces interact. Essentially, LHCb enhances our understanding of the universe's fundamental structure.
